S4: Matthew 6:5-6

Scripture Read.  Matthew 6:5-6  And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by men.  I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full.  But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.

Thought Applied.  Prayer is not a show.  It is a private communication - a private conversation, a private time talking with our Father.  Many do it for show - and it goes nowhere.  To keep your heart sincere, and to be able to focus on your time with Him - find a quiet spot where you will be alone and undisturbed.  There, your time with your Father, will find favor.

Application Made.  I should spend time praying with God in private to see rewards, i.e. prayers answered.

Response Prayer.  Lord, I know I don't pray to you enough.  That I don't carve out enough time to dedicate my love and appreciation for you.  I owe all that I have and am to you.  Please help me re-prioritize my live.
