Session 2, Prep on Psalms 139

Do you dwell on heaven as your future home? Why or why not?

Nope.  Because I do not know what Heaven is truly like.  Work is a gift from God, but many people think there is no work in Heaven.  If so, what will I do for eternity?  How varied will be my time?  What is my form?  Will I be aware of my time of earth?  What bearing does it have on my role (if any) in Heaven?  Thinking on what things will be like in Heaven are a waste of time, as no one has any answers.

What does God know about your future? Do you spend time thinking about it?

In the large sense, He sees all the variables.  As we take actions, he sees the immediate outcome.  If mankind had no freewill, then our freely given love and obedience to him would be worthless.  God may have big plans for me, but I can thwart them all.  No, I don’t spend time thinking about them.  Because I cannot fathom them, and today has enough worries for itself.

What is one weakness that you struggle with? What is one of your strengths?

Weakness, i.e. not a sin.  Not picking up on emotional cues.  I tend towards stoicism in my planning and thinking, so I am regularly surprised when people act on their emotions in a way that leads to less-than-optimal results.  Strength.  Not making an emotional decision.
