S3: Gentle - Isaiah 40:11

Scripture:  He tends his flock like a shepherd: He gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them close to his heart; he gently leads those that have young.

Thought Conveyed:  The relationship of Christ to His followers is comparable to a shepherd and his flock.  A lamb needs to be gathered when lost, scared, or hurt, and so Christ does the same to his followers - close to his heart, which implies he thinks deeply for their issues.  "Those that have young" means he is especially attentive to young parents.

Applications Made:  He doesn't just notice that I am lost, afraid, or hurt.  He acts, and conscientiously responds.

Response.  I don't know when I need you.  I'm glad you do.
